Um, no.  :)  It's because I'd rather not have to use 'cygpath' to convert 
Cygwin paths to Windows paths.  However, I can't seem to get the bloody 
thing to even run 'configure' under Cygwin, let alone build, so I guess 
I'll bite the bullet and use the binaries.
